Course on Psychosis, Treatment and Recovery
Take part in an in-depth study and exploration of cutting-edge understanding and approaches to work with someone in psychosis or post-psychosis and build an alliance to help them stabilize and begin long-term recovery. Based on 30 years of first-hand experience, small group original research and identifying numerous proven and emerging approaches, the material presented in this ten hour-long sessions course allows the participants to gain insight into the mystery of psychotic thought, connect with the rational core of the person within psychosis, and work with the person to bring about stability and begin recovery.
Beyond the original material developed by milt greek over his decades of work, the course introduces numerous approaches, including Listen-Empathize-Agree-Partner (LEAP), developing shared vocabulary, Personal Medicine Coaching, Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), Hearing Voices Movement, and elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) for psychosis, Cognitive Therapy for Recovery (CT-R), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Combining this knowledge with insights into the patterns of psychotic thought and family dynamics offers the participants multiple tools and approaches to assist them working with people in psychosis and post-psychosis.
The online Zoom course has a maximum of 15 participants per session and allows extra time for in-depth questions and discussion. The total cost of the course, including electronic copies of all materials, is $150.Â
